Branches of Igbo-Ukwu Development Union

Not only have the Igboukwu people moved to Nigerian cities including Port Harcourt, Lagos, Benin City, and Abuja, but have also moved to other countries such as Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Togo, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Three Different Quarters of Igbo-Ukwu

Currently, Igbo-Ukwu is made up of three large quarters which are: Obiuno, Ngo and Ihite. 

Igbo-Ukwu Town Hall (Ama Ehulu)

Igbo-Ukwu began the discussions for the need for a befitting town hall from the time when the Igbo-Ukwu Development Union was birthed. 

Successive Administrations Of The Igbo-Ukwu Development Union (Idu)

The Political Structure is responsible for the physical development of the town headed by the President-General of the Igbo-Ukwu Development Union who is vested with executive power.

Culture is a way of life of a people. The Igbo are not only a proud race but also are highly political.

Prior to the existence of Unions in Igbo-Ukwu, the town had been administered under various forms of terminologies constituted by the colonial regimes.
