CURRENT QUARTERS IN IGBO-UKWU
Currently, Igbo-Ukwu is made up of three large quarters which are: Obiuno, Ngo and Ihite. These quarters are made up of twenty-one villages that serve as development areas. The villages are made up of affiliated kindred groups that form the 36 administrative wards of the town created in 1971 by the Igbo-Ukwu Progressive Union (IPU).
